Elissa Jane Diver (Born London, 1966) is an English photographer living in Brighton.
She works with a combination of digital and analogue processes but is focussed on the materiality of the photograph and on printing. The making of a print using light-sensitive materials is more than chemistry, the appearance of the image a revelatory alchemy, disclosing more than the artist can account for. Her work is in search of the threshold between the physical and metaphysical, and explores the making of connections between these two spaces.
